AK Steel will increase base prices for all carbon, flat-rolled steel products by $50 per net ton.

The increase, which is effective with shipments on and after January 1, 2005, also applies to steel sold in the spot market.

Headquartered in Middletown, Ohio, AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
