ATI Allegheny Ludlum announced it will add a surcharge of $285 per ton ($14.25/cwt.) to all silicon electrical steel invoices, effective with shipments beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2005.

The surcharge is subject to monthly adjustment based on changes in raw material costs.
