Techint Goodfellow Technologies Inc., Mississauga, Ont., recently commissioned two state-of-the-art Goodfellow Expert Furnace System Optimization Process (EFSOP^™) systems at Posco’s Kwangyang Works in Korea. The systems are presently gathering data from the two furnaces.

The Goodfellow EFSOP system measures and analyzes EAF off-gases (CO, CO2, H2, O2) continuously at the fourth hole for real-time closed-loop process control of EAF steelmaking, resulting in improved operations, energy savings, lower conversion costs and safety benefits.

The order was originally awarded by ESCO Professionals Co., Ltd.
