North America TMK IPSCO Opens New Sales Office in Canada

Aug. 11, 2010
Steel tubular manufacturer TMK IPSCO recently opened a Sales Office in Calgary, Alberta, that will serve as its Canadian headquarters for sales. The new office will also support the company’s commitment to better service customers with products for both conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon exploration and development.

The Sales Office is managed by Dmitry Butorin, Director of Sales – Canada. Butorin has extensive experience with TMK, both in the U.S. and Russia. He will work closely with John Kearsey, Sales Manager. Prior to joining TMK IPSCO, Kearsey was President of 45 Business Development, Ltd., a Calgary-based tubular products sales and marketing company.

Piotr Galitzine, TMK IPSCO’s Chairman, said, “The new Sales Office in Calgary is an important step in TMK’s continuing growth as a global company and world-class pipe manufacturer. This new Calgary Office will further enhance our ability to support our customers in the development of the oil sands in Western Canada.”

Scott Barnes, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said, “TMK IPSCO supports the development of unconventional energy sources such as the oil sands and gas shales as well as conventional sources of oil and natural gas. We service end users in both Canada and the U.S….The Calgary Sales Office is one more step in our growth as we expand our geographic footprint and deliver energy tubulars and high-value niche products, including premium connections, to our customers.”

Vicki Avril, TMK IPSCO’s President and CEO, added, “This new Canadian Sales Office is just another example of TMK IPSCO positioning our business close to our customers. We are committed to the Canadian market, and we are excited to bring the IPSCO name back to Canada, where it began.”
