Aug. 2006 — Parsytec AG was recently awarded a contract for a Hot Mill Surface Inspection System (SIS) by Hyundai Steel Co.

Hyundai Steel Co., located in Dangjin, is the second-largest South Korean steel manufacturer and distributor of mainly specialized steel products for the automotive industry. The company pursues great innovation and expansion plans, which will be complemented by Parsytec’s espresso advanced surface inspection solution.

The new system will incorporate the detection of surface defects and the utilization of inspection data through the application of highly-developed classification mechanisms. The processed data will contribute to Hyundai Steel’s steel production quality and quantity.
