Feb. 1, 2006 — Parsytec AG recently received an infrastructure order from Heidtman Steel for five inspection systems plus parsytec 5i licenses.

Five of Heidtman’s seven pickle lines will be equipped with Parsytec Surface Inspection Systems. The installations will be enriched by customer-specific production decision intelligence solutions based on parsytec 5i.

Heidtman purchased the Parsytec inspection systems in order to improve and harmonize the quality on five of their pickle lines. Starting from the inspection data, Heidtman Steel will apply various production decision intelligence applications based on the unique parsytec 5i software platform. Parsytec will provide the proven inspection solutions for fast and reliable results, as well as the surface quality yield management software (parsytec 5i), thus providing an integral quality management approach.

With this order, Parsytec continues its success story in delivering inspection solutions for North American steel service centers, with three of the largest U.S.-based Service Centers already successfully employing the Parsytec inspection solutions and parsytec 5i.

Heidtman Steel is the largest privately owned flat-rolled Steel Service Center in the U.S., with nine locations and several joint ventures in the eastern and central parts of the country.
