PARSYTEC HEADLINES

Industry Suppliers / Parsytec Parsytec to Provide Surface Inspection for I/N Tek Pickling-Tandem Line

Jul. 16, 2004

Parsytec AG has received an order from I/N Tek for implementation of a surface inspection solution at the company’s continuous pickling-tandem line.

The Parsytec surface inspection solution will be applied at I/N Tek’s continuous pickling-tandem line. The real-time system, which facilitates process changes on the fly, was pioneered by Parsytec at ThyssenKrupp. The system has subsequently been installed at Posco, China Steel Corp., and USS-Posco. "This proven experience to deliver process efficiency was one of the decisive factors for I/N Tek to decide for Parsytec" explains Guy Rymsza, the responsible Project Manager at I/N Tek.

Parsytec’s recently presented parsytec 5i has the potential to open to I/N Tek a wide platform of newly affordable productivity applications. I/N Tek’s new Parsytec surface inspection solution can be upgraded to this innovative technology in the future.

Based in New Carsile, Ind., I/N Tek is a joint venture between Ispat Inland (part of the LNM group) and Nippon Steel Corp.

Headquartered in Aachen, Germany, Parsytec AG maintains subsidiaries in all major economic areas of the world. The company is exclusively focused on products supporting the customers' surface quality yield management. Products include espresso, a state-of-the-art surface inspection system, and parsytec 5i - the Surface Excel, a new dimension of surface quality yield management. Concentrating on the steel, aluminum, and paper industries, and based on its technological leadership, Parsytec is the world's largest vendor of surface inspection systems by revenue.
