MMK Completes Construction of MMK-Atakas Metalworks

MMK-Atakas Produces First 3000 Tonnes of Hot-Rolled Plate
May 23, 2011 - Iskenderun-based MMK-Atakas hot-rolling unit (compact strip mill linked to the electric arc furnace facility) has produced its first 3000 tonnes of hot-rolled plate. MMK also announced that the color coating line was put into operation at MMK-Atakas’ production site in Istanbul.

Nippon Steel, Ternium to Establish HDG Joint Venture in Mexico
Oct. 6, 2010 - Nippon Steel and Ternium sign a definitive agreement to form a joint venture in Mexico for the manufacture and sale of hot-dip galvanized and galvannealed steel sheets to serve the Mexican automobile market.
