Safety Tube City IMS Earns Safety Award for Cayce Facility

Tube City IMS Corp. announced that its IMS Division operation in Cayce, S.C., has earned the Palmetto Safety Excellence Award from the South Carolina Occupational Safety Council for its outstanding 2006 safety performance.
 
The site was presented with the Palmetto Safety Award for having the lowest Occupational Safety and Health Administration Recordable Incidence Rate.
 
"We are honored to receive this prestigious award and we congratulate our Cayce teammates for their commitment, dedication and diligence for outstanding safety performance," said Raymond Kalouche, President and Chief Operating Officer, Tube City IMS, IMS Division. "Protecting the health and safety of our teammates is paramount at the Company, and we will continue to strive to achieve zero incidents at every site."
 
The safety award, which was recently presented as part of the South Carolina Occupational Safety Council’s annual awards banquet, is the second safety award the Cayce operation has received. In late March, the site received the National Slag Association’s 2006 safety award for "Lowest Incident Rate, 51-75 Employees".
