ArcelorMittal Provides Update on Fatalities at Abaiskaya Mine Accident
Jan. 15, 2008 In a statement regarding the Jan. 11, 2008 accident at the Abaiskaya mine, ArcelorMittal reported that the final number of fatalities is 30 people.
ArcelorMittal President and CEO Lakshmi Mittal, who has been traveling this week to Kazakhstan to offer his personal support, expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.

ArcelorMittal’s key pro forma financials for 2006 show combined revenues of USD 88.6 billion, with a crude steel production of 118 million tonnes, representing around 10% of world steel output.
