Ruukki Service Center Fire Not Expected to Result in Delivery Delays
Jan. 6, 2009 Rautaruukki reports that the recent fire at its Hyvinkää, Finland, steel service centre is not expected to cause any significant disruptions to deliveries.
The fire broke out at the company's steel service centre in Hyvinkää, Finland, on Sunday January 4, 2009. The company said the fire was brought under control and there no injuries.
Rautaruukki supplies metal-based components, systems and total solutions to the construction and engineering industries, including a wide selection of metal products and services. Rautaruukki has operations in 26 countries and employs 15,000 people, with net sales totaling EUR 3.9 billion in 2007. The Corporation uses the marketing name Ruukki.
