Imsa Acero to Invest US$120 million to Increase Production Capacity
Dec. 16, 2005 - Grupo Imsa’s Board of Directors has authorized a US$120 million investment a new continuous industrial line to galvanize and paint high-specification steel at Imsa Acero’s facilities in Monterrey, Mexico.
Grupo Imsa Streamlines its Organizational Structure
Sep. 13, 2005 - Grupo Imsa announced changes in its organizational structure that are intended to help the organization increase the leverage of existing synergies between its steel-related businesses, enhance the efficiency of its operations and reduce administrative expenses.
Metl-Span Adds New Steel Panel Plant in Nevada
Jul. 26, 2005 - Grupo Imsa has inaugurated a new insulated steel panel production facility in North Las Vegas. The US$8.5 million dollar investment increases the production capacity for Metl-Span, ImsaTec's U.S. subsidiary, by 30%. With the acquisition, Metl-Span now has production facilities in Texas, Virginia and Nevada, positioning it to better serve the entire U.S. market.

Grupo Imsa Anticipates Strong 4th Quarter Results
Jan. 27, 2005 - Grupo Imsa, SA de CV estimates that its fourth quarter 2004 sales will total 9,596 million pesos, a year-over-year growth of approximately 30%. Grupo Imsa says its EBITDA (operating income plus depreciation and amortization) could reach 1,252 million pesos for the quarter, an 89% increase compared to 2003.

Grupo Imsa Joins Consortium in Slab Supply Contract
Dec. 16, 2004 - Grupo Imsa SA de CV has signed a 10-year off-take agreement for slab with Corus Group, U.K., through its facility located in Teesside, England. Gruppo Marcegaglia, Italy, and Duferco International, Italy/Switzerland, are also participating in the agreement. In addition, Dongkuk Steel, Korea, has the right to join the consortium before January 5, 2005.
Grupo Imsa Expands Steel Painting Capacity
Jan. 4, 2004 - Grupo Imsa has acquired the assets of Polymer Coil Coaters, an industrial continuous steel painting line in Fairfield, Ala., for US$29 million. Grupo Imsa executed the purchase from Magnatrax Corp. through Imsa Acero.
