Nucor Awards Tenova HYL Contract for World’s Largest DR Plant
Feb. 17, 2011 - Nucor has signed a contract with Tenova HYL for the world’s largest single DR module ever to be constructed. The 2.5 million ton per year, Louisiana-based Energiron ZR plant will supply DR to Nucor’s other steelmaking facilities.
Chinese Boron-Added Plate Held Subject to Antidumping Order
Feb. 17, 2011 - The Department of Commerce has issued an affirmative preliminary circumvention ruling determining that Chinese imports of cut-to-length carbon steel plate that include insignificant amounts of boron are subject to the antidumping duty order on CTL plate.
Nucor Announces New Development in St. James Parish Project
Jan. 28, 2011 - The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality permit for Nucor Corp.’s direct reduced iron making facility that will be located in St. James Parish, La. The facility could ultimately lead to construction of a coke plant, blast furnace, pellet plant and steel mill.

Nucor Selects St. James Parish for Iron Making Facility
Sep. 16, 2010 - Nucor Corp. has selected St. James Parish, Louisiana, for the construction of a planned $750 million iron making facility, subject to receipt of all requisite environmental permits. The new facility will be owned and operated by Nucor Steel Louisiana, LLC, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Nucor.

Nucor Announces 2-for-1 Stock Split
Sep. 9, 2004 - Nucor Corp. announced that its Board of Directors approved a 2-for-1 stock split. The stock split will be carried out by issuing one additional share of common stock for each share held by stockholders of record on September 30, 2004. The additional shares will be distributed to stockholders on or about October 15, 2004. Nucor common stock's par value will remain at $.40 per share. The stock split is intended to broaden interest in Nucor's common stock and improve its marketability.
AISI Receives First Royalties from Hot Strip Mill Model Sales
Aug. 31, 2004 - The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) recently received its first royalties from sales of the Hot Strip Mill Model (HSMM). The model is one of several commercially licensed technologies developed under AISI’s Advanced Process Control program, a collaborative effort among steelmakers and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to put breakthrough technologies on the plant floor.

Concast Commissions Nucor-Jewett Meltshop
Aug. 4, 2004 - Concast recently started up a new, single-unit meltshop at Nucor’s facility in Jewett, Texas. The new one million ton/year (900,000 tonne) plant consists of a 100-ton (82-tonne) electric arc furnace, twin-station ladle furnace and a four (five)-strand Convex Technology® continuous caster.
