Aug. 30, 2011 - The jury award won by Severstal North America in its defense of ArcelorMittal’s patent infringement assertions has been upheld by the trial judge. Severstal says it also continues to achieve favorable decisions in a patent reexamination proceeding regarding a patent owned by ArcelorMittal regarding the production of aluminum-coated, boron-bearing carbon steel.
OAO Severstal Reports Second Quarter Results
Aug. 29, 2011 - OAO Severstal announced net profit of $602 million on revenue of $4,383 million for the second quarter, and net profit of $1,122 million on revenue of $8,110 million for the six months ended June 30, 2011.
Severstal NA Starts up New Cold Mill Complex at Dearborn
Aug. 19, 2011 - Severstal North America has successfully launched a new five-stand, six-high, 72-in-wide coupled pickle line tandem cold mill at its plant in Dearborn, Mich. The new facility is expected to ramp up to full capacity of 2.1 million net tons within six months.
Severstal Columbus Signs $350 Million Revolving Credit Facility
Jul. 29, 2011 - Severstal Columbus has signed a $350 million syndicated revolving credit facility, proceeds of which will be used, among other things, to refinance an existing $150-million revolving credit facility.
