Commerce Finds Unfair Dumping, Subsidization of Magnesia Carbon Bricks
Jul. 28, 2010 - The Department of Commerce has announced its affirmative final determinations in the antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations on imports of magnesia carbon bricks from P.R. China and AD investigations on imports from Mexico.

Jul. 7, 2010 - The ITC has voted to conduct full five-year (sunset) reviews on a countervailing duty order on hot-rolled flat carbon-quality steel products from Brazil, antidumping duty orders on hot-rolled steel from Brazil and Japan, and a suspended investigation on hot-rolled steel from Russia.
AISI Commends Congressmen for Actions on China Currency
Jun. 24, 2010 - Congressmen Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) and Tim Murphy (R-Pa.) were commended by AISI's Thomas J. Gibson for their urgent call to the House of Representatives to pass their bipartisan legislation, The Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act of 2009 (H.R. 2378).
USITC Determines PC Strand from China Injures U.S. Industry
Jun. 11, 2010 - The United States International Trade Commission has determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by imports of prestressed concrete steel wire strand from China that the U.S. Department of Commerce has determined are subsidized and sold at less than fair value.
AISI, Other Associations Call for Currency Reform for China
Jun. 10, 2010 - The American Iron and Steel Institute and five other North American steel industry trade associations have sent a letter to the U.S., Canadian and Mexican Trade and Finance Ministers urging “strong and coordinated” efforts to achieve “a large and sustained appreciation” of China’s currency.
Commerce Preliminarily Finds Subsidization of Drill Pipe from China
Jun. 9, 2010 - The Department of Commerce has announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the CVD investigation on imports of drill pipe from P.R. China, noting that Chinese exporters including mandatory respondent DP Master Group have received countervailable subsidies of 15.72%.

May 20, 2010 - Members of the Committee on Pipe and Tube Imports and its Customs Task Force are applauding recent efforts by Underwriters Laboratories to notify the public about unsafe Chinese electrical metallic tubing.
Commerce Finds Dumping, Subsidization of PC Strand from China
May 18, 2010 - In the antidumping duty investigations on imports of prestressed concrete steel wire strand from China, the Department of Commerce has determined that Chinese producers/exporters have sold the product in the U.S. at 42.97 to 193.55%. In the countervailing duty case, Commerce determined that Chinese producers/exporters have received net countervailable subsidies ranging from 8.85 to 45.85%.
ITC to Uphold Duties on Stainless Wire Rod from Five Countries
May 17, 2010 - The U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that revoking the existing antidumping duty orders on stainless steel wire rod from Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, and Taiwan would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. Therefore, the existing orders will remain in place.
SSINA Urges Responsible Enforcement of Cuban Embargo
May 14, 2010 - The Specialty Steel Industry of North America issues statement to the House Ways and Means Committee encouraging stricter enforcement of the U.S. regulations on trade with Cuba, particularly with respect to China.
ITC Determines OCTG from China Injures U.S. Industry
May 4, 2010 - The U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that U.S. industry is materially injured or threatened with material injury by imports of oil country tubular goods from China that Commerce has determined are sold at less than fair value. Commerce will therefore issue an antidumping duty order.
Commerce Initiates Circumvention Investigation on CTL Plate from China
Apr. 30, 2010 - The U.S. Department of Commerce is initiating an antidumping circumvention inquiry to determine whether imports of cut-to-length carbon steel plate from P.R. China are circumventing the duty order by containing small amounts of boron.
