Tenova LOI Italimpianti Starts up Walking Beam Furnace for China Steel
Jul. 12, 2010 Tenova LOI Italimpianti has successfully completed the start-up of a 200 tonnes/hour walking beam reheat furnace for billets in the new rolling mill at the Kaohsiung China Steel Corp. (Taiwan).
The new fuel-efficient furnace is equipped with Tenova’s state-of-the-art Flexytech® low-NOx burners as well as an advanced thermal model-based Level 2 control system. The first billet has been fully processed in accordance with the scheduled program.
Tenova LOI Italimpianti reports that additional proposals are currently under discussion in Taiwan.
