Danieli Automation to Provide MES System for Severstal Balakovo
Mar. 5, 2013 Danieli Automation has been awarded the contract for the supply of the Q3MET — the MES system oriented to the steel industry to optimize production, planning and scheduling of customer orders — for Severstal Balakovo in Russia.
The new system will be integrated with the DMMS, Danieli Maintenance Management System, an effective technical computer-based tool designed for improving condition and preventative maintenance and spare parts management in high-productivity plants.
Severstal Balakovo is a long products mini-mill with an annual capacity of 1 million tonnes. It is scheduled for launch in 2013 and located in Bykovo-Otrogskoye in the Balakovo district of the Saratov region.
