Outokumpu Oyj Unaffected by Finnish Harbor Workers' Strike
Mar. 5, 2010 Outokumpu has announced that the strike of Finnish harbor workers (AKT) does not have any material impact on its exports or imports.
The company notes that the private part of the Röyttä harbor, which only serves Tornio Works, is expected to operate “almost normally” with the help of subcontractors.
Stainless steel deliveries and the supply of raw materials are secured for the time being, the company says. It expects that the financial impacts from the strike will not be material.
