Timken to Increase Prices on Cold-Drawn Tubing
Aug. 31, 2010 The Timken Co. has announced it will increase prices on cold-drawn carbon and alloy seamless mechanical tubing by up to 30%, depending on size and product specification.
The price increase is effective with shipments beginning on October 1, 2010.
The company noted that existing raw material surcharges would remain in effect.
Timken provides innovative friction management and power transmission products and services. In 2009, the company’s approximately 17,000 employees generated sales of $3.1 billion from operations in 27 countries/territories.
